Lyn's Plant Talks

I have been giving talks to local groups and societies for 15 years. See below for my current list of talks.

Foxgloves, Euphorbias & Campanulas

Cultivation & propagation of these popular plants and introducing some lesser known ones.

Getting to know some Umbellifers

Sea-hollies, Astrantias etc. These Cow-parsley relatives are a wonderful group of plants, many of which deserve to be grown more often.

Salvias and their relatives

Garden worthy members of the square-stemmed Lamiaceae family of plants, many with aromatic leaves and attractive hooded flowers.

Gardening with grasses

Mainly grasses, a handful of perennials and slides of grasses in garden settings.

Annuals that deserve to be grown more often

There is more to growing these often very showy plants other than growing busy lizies!

A tour of Norfolk gardens

Includes Bressingham and East Rushton Old Vicarage, two of Norfolk’s most famous gardens.

A tour of Gardens near Hereford

The gems that we visited July ’08 on our 4-day holiday.

Also talks on West Yorkshire, Kent, Shropshire, East Yorkshire. Suffolk/Essex, North Wales and Rutland

following our respective Horticultural Society holidays to those counties.

Gardening on the Wild Side at Westcroft

My garden was chosen by ITV West to feature in a programme called Wild Gardens, shown in August ‘08. This talk looks at Westcroft through the year and the story behind the filming, etc.

I bring young plants for sale (unusual perennials mainly, most sold at 60p each) and charge £70, plus mileage at 50p per mile, March - July (2016 rates) Discounted talk price for groups, if 14 or more book a visit to the garden.
